“Teddy Bear not Included”

Some of Sunday was a rough day- that unexpected wave of fatigue or raw nerve endings that many are all too familiar with. i do my best to anchor the idea that this not-so-great feeling can’t last forever. Maybe i’ll take notice of that beautiful view i’m blessed to have. Perhaps i’ll be sitting under the beautiful colors that have come into full bloom this fall. So many unknowns for this familiar feeling... how ironic. It was just the other day that i checked in with a couple other fellow fighters- one reply also making mention of feeling a bit wiped out from radiation and another from a recent dose of chemo. But this is all part of the journey, and this path also comes with an unparalleled gratitude for feeling great when that relief finally arrives. i got my loving labrador to walk over for some easily accessible petting as he checks on me, and pillows to move around like soft legos with the intent of finding a configuration that promotes a peaceful slumber- teddy bear not included (but much appreciated!). It’s going to be okay.... we got this...
