Every May 15th, I take more time than usual to reflect and appreciate the fact that I have a little sister to be proud of, thankful with, and admiration for. She carries our grandmother’s name as her middle name, and our grandmother would be so amazed with the beautiful woman she’s grown up to be. A mother of two, a unique artist, and a gentle vibe that combines both beauty and brilliance are but a few dimensions of Dahlia. And that name... so telling in that you’ve really bloomed into a wonderful person. Aside from birthdays, I know our conversations are few and far between, but perhaps we make up for crazy schedules in different time zones by being there for those we love. Thanks for sharing Mother’s Day with mom, and thank you for allowing me the privilege to be a trusted uncle to your kiddos. Many returns to the day, Dahlia. I love you not just because I’m still taller (funny funny haha), but also because you do our family legacy proud by embracing your calling.
